List Descriptions

Files For Local Use:

"spamtrap" lists IPAs responsible for sending email to spam traps. Individual dynamic clients are included. While redundant, this is for record keeping. This includes spam received from any source including open relays, proxies, free-mail, main sleaze, etc.

Spam traps are promulgated through numerous methods and span several domains. They are not used for any legitimate purpose False positives would be zero - absent the "nitwit factor."

"dynamic" lists DHCP ranges. These are added in minimum blocks of /24.

"relays" lists IPAs which have attempted to relay mail through our server. These are separated to provide a "prior relay attempt" message so as not to ruffle the feathers of legitimate testers.

"asiaspam" lists spam trap hits from Korea, the PRC and Taiwan. Since many admins - and our server - already block these areas, a separate list is maintained as it would be redundant with geographic blocking. In other words, if you are blocking Korea, the PRC and Taiwan, then you do not need this list.
