Information for Residential DSL and Cable Users
Your IP address is SUPPOSED to be listed
Residential DSL and cable users utilize their ISP's mail server to send email. Our listings do not affect — in any way — your ability to send email through your ISP. Therefore, please do not request removal.
These are listed because virtually 100% of email directly transmitted from home users is spam from infected machines. SOHO users with a business account, a fixed IP address and a unique reverse pointer should consult our DNSBL Listing & Removal Policy.
Furthermore, for security reasons, we may also list local private addresses like 192.168.x.x or 127.0.0.1. These IP addresses are shared by millions of people. This is the IP address assigned to a single computer. It is used to connect to other computers on your local network, your router or your cable, DSL or dial-up modem.
Once traffic goes beyond your local network, it is assigned a public IP address by your Internet Service Provider. Only a public IP address can connect to a mail server, or any other Internet resource for that matter. Again, please do not request removal.
