Mission Statement
Our mission is defined by core values for users and senders. These core values are of equal importance; Both are required to achieve our mission.
Global values:
- To be participative advocates of spam reduction.
- To accept that we function in a dynamic environment and to make changes, proficiently and methodically, as required.
- To always realize that other DNSBLs and their administrators are professional colleagues and not competitors.
- To be open to criticism and suggestions as a means of quality improvement.
- To consistently improve our processes, sense of mission and service delivery.
Users:
- To filter spam efficiently and effectively.
- To incrementally and consistently improve quality with increased detection and decreased false positives.
- To increase utilization by server administrators and end users.
Senders:
- Recognizing that the removal system is a key component of quality management, to remove expired and incorrect listings courteously and promptly.
- To apply our listing standards consistently and uniformly.
- To utilize quarantines as an incentive to secure servers — not as punishment.
- To educate, where possible, with respect to best practices, DNS configuration and SMTP implementation.
- To recognize that many senders are more experienced and know ledgable than we are and to learn from them whenever possible.
We welcome your comments and suggestions.
