Adelphia Advisory
Attention: Adelphia Customers
We apologize for any inconvenience that you might be encountering due to email being rejected.
Two of the larger DNSBLs are currently listing IP addresses associated with Adelphia; TQMcube and SORBS.net. We would like nothing more than to remove these listings as they create a large volume of removal requests that we are obligated to answer.
These servers are listed because they are generating a significant amount of spam. Either Adelphia is not handling abuse reports, there is an authentication issue or relay authentication has been compromised.
We have referred hundreds customers back to Adelphia and we have contacted them several times. We have received no response, whatsoever. We are accustomed to working with large ISPs to resolve these issues. It makes perfect sense for the ISP to at least contact us to find out why they are listed and, possibly, get a handle on the problem.
We don't know if Adelphia is blissfully ignorant, negligent or inconsiderate. There is a continuing and large stream of spam originating form their servers. This problem is only going to get worse as more DNSBLs include these IPs.
We encourage Adelphia customers to contact Customer Service. This issue is not going to disappear. It will only be addressed with some customer advocacy.
